Here are some key gems I can share with you from 2 days with these gentlemen…

  1. Our 2 biggest obstacles to learning are: “I Knew That” and “I Disagree”.   We must stay open to Learning because Learning & Teaching are really the currency of the future and where our leverage exists in the future!  Be Open, Be Receptive to new ideas!
  2. One of the Best Ways to Learn is To Teach.
  3. The Key to Learning is to Forget what you Don’t Need to Know!  In this Age of Information Overload, only focus on what you need to know and block out all else.
  4. This of course requires that you have Clarity About Your Destination and What you Do Need to Know!
  5. Clarity is Critical!  We must be clear about our goals, our outcomes, where we are going, and how to get there.
  6. Visioning in Your Mind out into the Future and Having a Clear Picture Movie of Your Future helps you to backtrack and know what you do and don’t need to do today.
  7. Live Life on Purpose.  Have A Reason to Do What you are doing…Everyday.
  8. Clear Visions Create Causes – Leaders with Clear Visions on what they want in their Life, their Business & their Community will create Causes.
  9. We all have data, information & knowledge but it is Experiences that allow us to Assimilate this Knowledge into Understanding and Wisdom.  That is, so many of us have tons of ideas and information but because we haven’t actually implemented many of those we don’t fully have the understanding and wisdom that comes from the Experience of Implementation.  Again, we come back to Taking Action and Implementing whatever your goals are…FAST.
  10. Speed of Implementation is critical to Retention of whatever you Learn…As soon as you learn something new, immediately Implement!

All of us are so blown away by what they are teaching because these concepts are not only applicable to business and marketing, but to life in general.  These strategies will also help us teach others more effectively and communicate more effectively.

My biggest AH-HAH is the importance of having and offering people EXPERIENCES to learn the fastest.  Just throwing out ideas and information is not enough…having people actually go out and do and experience is more impactful and priceless because now they are involved and fully engaged.
